Judy Gallagher focuses her practice on advising tax-exempt organizations, corporations, lobbying firms, and individuals on regulatory and legal issues involving nonprofit and tax laws, lobbying disclosure, government ethics rules, and the Foreign Agents Registration Act.
Prior to joining the firm, Judy was an attorney in Sidley Austin's Washington, D.C. office where she represented corporations and executives in congressional inquiries, securities enforcement actions, securities class action litigation, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act investigations, and other white collar criminal matters. She clerked for Judge D. Brooks Smith of the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. Judy is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia, as well as the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Third and Sixth Circuits.
Judy graduated from the Ave Maria School of Law magna cum laude where she was the Executive Articles Editor of the Ave Maria Law Review.
